2010 Recipient of Joseph Nangle, OFM, Lifelong Mission Award
Biography
Fr. George Corrigan, OFM,
was a 1974 graduate of the United States Naval Academy who served
aboard nuclear submarines till 1982, at which point he pursued a career
in business. He served as an FMS missioner in Kenya from 1996-1999. The
experience, particularly working with Franciscans, helped him discern a
vocation to religious life and the priesthood. He was received into the
Franciscan novitiate in 2001, took final vows as a Franciscan religious
in 2006, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2007. He currently serves

service as a member of the FMS Board of Directors have been invaluable
to the continued success and vitality of the organization.
